The English Intermediate 1 online course gives you a glimpse into the lives of four young professionals living in Amsterdam. You get to see them in various everyday situations. You will be able to use everything you learn right away: with family, friends and colleagues. Once you’ve completed the course you will be able to express your opinion, give advice, talk about your feelings and discuss your plans for the future.  This course is suitable for you if you already have a basic grasp of English and are ready for the next step.

What is covered in the English Intermediate 1 course?

  • Using English words relating to work, holidays and emotions
  • Expressing your opinion, giving advice and talking about emotions and desires
  • Improving your pronunciation of English sounds, words and sentences
  • Applying the common grammatical structures of everyday English
  • Reading English texts about subjects such as work culture, lifestyle and cooking
  • Writing compound and complex English sentences

 Course level
The English Intermediate 1 course takes you to level B1.1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Certificate
Upon completion of the English Intermediate 1 course, you will receive a certificate that you can add to your LinkedIn profile.
